Lecture, Zagreb, Mimara Museum, 10th December 2002
Dr. Ing. Dario Almesberger of SER. CO. TEC. Ltd. from Trieste, Italy, elaborated on the negative impact of vibrations to historic buildings. His lecture covered the following topics: the sources of vibrations, the theory of wave propagation, the measuring of vibrations, evaluating vibrations’ impact to constructions (ISO 2041) and gave a demonstration of monitoring techniques on chosen examples of historic buildings in Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.
Some 70 participants (from the Croatian Conservation Institute, Croatian Ministry of Culture and its departments for the protection of cultural heritage, museums, municipal services, the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and vocational schools) attended the lecture at the MM hall of the Mimara Museum.
