Dubrovnik, Institute for the Restoration of Dubrovnik, February 2008
An exhibition in Dubrovnik was organized to mark the completion of the first phase of conservation-restoration of the Church of St. Blaise. The work was aimed at preventing further degradation along with an intricate rehabilitation of the church.

The exhibition presented conservation-restoration work on the northern façade of St. Blaise. Experts from the Department for Stone Sculpture of the Croatian Conservation Institute carried out the work in 2007, including the dismantling the three statues of angels above the church portal, the replacing of the corroded metal fixing cramps with new ones made of stainless steel, cleaning stone surfaces using mechanical and chemical methods and laser, replacing missing stone parts or filling of the damaged surface with artificial stone paste, and finally, the mounting of sculptures to their original places on the church façade.
