From 3rd to 6th October 2017, the 4th SEE Mosaics Conference – Presentation of Detached Mosaics on Movable Supports will be held in Pula, at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce – Regional Chamber Pula.
The conference is organized by the Croatian Conservation Institute in cooperation with the Archaeological Museum of Istria, Croatian Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Institute for Conservation in Belgrade, and is financially supported by the Central European Initiative.
Project Southeast Europe Mosaics (SEE Mosaics) was started in 2011 by the Central Institute for Conservation in Belgrade, Serbia, with the goal of promoting and enhancing the organised protection and promotion of mosaic heritage.
The aim of this year’s SEE Mosaics conference in Pula is the continuation of development of an expert network and the transmission and exchange of knowledge, skills, and competencies in mosaic conservation, with special emphasis on contemporary challenges in protection, conservation, and presentation of detached mosaics on movable supports.
Conference lectures, based on practice, will present past and current experiences of experts from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, and the USA.
