Training course, Dubrovnik, Croatian Conservation Institute / Conservation Department in Dubrovnik, 11th-15th September 2000
The course on preserving and restoring paper covered themes of chemical composition of paper, the paper manufacturing process throughout history and the causes of paper damage. Practical exercises included surface cleaning, washing, bleaching, lining and the craft of making protective boxes.
There were 14 participants from: the Croatian Conservation Institute, the State Archives in Dubrovnik, Zadar, Zagreb, Šibenik and Split and the Dubrovnik Museums.
