Brochure
Zagreb, 2006
Language: Croatian
The brochure was issued marking the anniversary of the founding of the former Conservation Institute of Croatia in 1966. The Laboratory for Conservation Research was set up as part of the Institute. Devised and organized as a research department for chemical, mineralogical and physical investigations, its task was to examine the condition of monuments and sources of their degradations.
Aside from diagnostic procedures designed to assess the condition of cultural goods, laboratory’s task is to control consolidation treatments and explore possibilities of using new materials in various phases of conservation-restoration. When the Croatian Conservation Institute was formed in 1997, the Laboratory for Conservation Research was renamed to Natural Science Laboratory.
