Ludbreg, Batthyány Mansion, Sep 30th, 2016
Croatian Conservation Institute presented some of its activities at the Ludbreg Conservation Centre, as part of the European Heritage Days, by organizing an exhibition and lecture about the conservation of the pulpit from the parish church of the Most Holy Trinity in Ludbreg.
The 1750 pulpit is one of the most treasured protected cultural items from the Ludbreg area. The Ludbreg Conservation Centre is conducting comprehensive conservation of the piece, which is planned for completion in 2017 with the mounting of the pulpit back in the church.
On view are the restored parts of the pulpit: sculptures, decorative elements, background panel, base and baldachin, including the posters that illustrate the course of conservation.
