Francesco Ugheto’s Painting from the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in the Franciscan Monastery in Košljun: conservation-restoration work

The exhibition was organized to mark the return of Francesco Ugheto's painting Paradise, Purgatory and Hell (1654, tempera on canvas, 960x460 cm) to the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Franciscan Monastery in Košljun.
The demanding conservation-restoration work took two years to complete, owing to the painting's extraordinary dimensions. It was carried out at the Department for Easel Painting of the Croatian Conservation Institute and followed by a photo documentary exhibition which presented the research and conservation-restoration work on the painting.
